David
Haird, the companies principal cut his racing teeth
in the '80s and '90s on the very competitive Autograss
circuits, and eventually migrated to oval racing's premier
formula - National Hot Rods.
Having enjoyed success in both disciplines, David was
persuaded to hand over the reigns and help develop the
emerging talent of his son Chris in 2000, Chris has now
been racing for five years and is maintaining the families
record of success.
Mid-2005, David identified and seized the opportunity to
get involved in the design, construction and manufacture
of racing cars - not just Oval racing cars!
Haird Motorsport is housed in purpose built premises on
the Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk borders, and boast
all the necessary technical facilities along with a
confidential self-contained R & D area. |
